Sales Consultants
 
Job Purpose:
The Sales Consultant is responsible for growing top-line revenue through the discovery and acquisition of new Learning Solutions engagements in both new and existing clients by employing a highly consultative sales methodology. Each territory maintain a specific set of key accounts consisting of existing customers that they must renew and cross sell, and a set of target accounts for new business development. Each Sales Consultant is assigned an annual quota, which is to be achieved as part of their annual performance agreement with Liqwid Krystal. The Sales Consultant is expected to maintain a pipeline of 3X the annual goal at all times.
Through a defined process the Sales Consultant will identify, develop, secure and grow revenue streams from new and existing clients. The Sales consultant should be able to connect well with both academic and corpororate markets. The job requirements entail completing the necessary sales metrics of sales revenue, cold calling, prospect development, and daily sales presentations.
This role's success is heavily measured by the achievement of all sales metrics (sales revenue, product mix, prospecting calls, demonstrations & proposals) on a continual basis, driving enough new business and renewal activity to achieve the targeted revenue quota for a 12-month period. This position is completely responsible for growing online revenues and bringing in new business to the territory.
 
Job Responsibilities:
Prospecting, and new customer development, through an outbound phone and face to face sales approach to identify new Learning Solutions opportunities.
Customer Presentations, Solutions Design, Solution Demonstrations.
Contracts, Pricing and Territory Administration.
Proposal writing, contracts, internal meeting, training & other administrative duties.
 
Key Challenges of the Job:
  • Achieving assigned sales targets within the monthly and annual time-frame
  • Prospecting within defined accounts in the territory to uncover new Learning Solutions opportunities
  • Renewing, maintaining and growing the current base revenue stream
  • Driving a solutions based approach
  • Documenting all activities and new business forecast within the Liqwid Krystal Sales CRM
  • Proposal writing, financial justifications, closing the sale, and account maintenance
  • Internal teamwork with partner groups to achieve complete customer satisfaction
  • Focus has to be towards both academic and corporate markets
 
Qualifications and Competencies:
BE/MBA Degree with at least 2 - 5 years of consultative sales experience required or combination of education/experience required.
The Sales Representative must have prior enterprise sales experience, preferably in the eLearning, training, or technology industry, and experience selling to middle and senior level managers in a consultative sales environment. Must have strong time management skills and experience in managing a large territory. This individual must demonstrate a proven track record of successful prospecting skills, finding competitive situations and successfully converting customers to their solution. The ability to develop detailed customer profiles and full knowledge of an account is the key to success in this position. A successful history of achieving results in a monthly oriented compensation plan.
